An engineering owner for all aspects of probe cards in the EBT Operations. Temporary contract position through Manpower Staffing Agency. Responsible for sustaining wafer processing equipment in the Wafer FAB Etch area. Important tasks include performing scheduled and routine maintenance procedures including parts cleaning and rebuild activities. Work with a wide variety of complex, microprocessor based controllers, electronic and/or electromechanical interface devices, vacuum systems, RF devices, heat exchangers, robotic systems and precision gas flow equipment.

Carolina Eastman DivisionProvided project management and maintenance support in the Technical Support Services Department for plant process improvements, control loop optimization, instrumentation upgrades, computer network expansions, programmable logic controllers, uninterrupted power supply (UPS) improvements, Distributed Control System (DCS) grounding, power quality and power distribution in motor control centers and electric rooms.- Developed, planned and managed small and medium sized capital improvement project designs using National Electric Code (NEC) and corporate standards to estimate labor, material, and construction costs for purchase of materials and equipment. Prepared and studied technical control loop and single line drawings, management of change, specifications of electrical systems to ensure installation and operations conform to company standards.- Managed plant site radio responsible for 7-channel 800MHz Trunk system with 500 subscriber units, FCC license compliance and SCADA controller for the emergency announcement siren system.

Texas Eastman DivisionProject management and maintenance support for the Power Distribution & Control Systems Department implementing improvement upgrades on process controllers, measurement instrumentation for temperature, level, flow and pressure, power distribution, power backup, power quality, desktop computer and network support.- Programmed artificial intelligence expert systems to assist electricians troubleshoot and maintain complex electrical, instrumentation and process equipment. These expert systems reduced equipment down time by an annual average of 2500 hours saving approximately $300K per year.- Acted as maintenance division project representative on computer communication and MIS system improvements teams. Developed and implemented 5 year plans for PC workstation upgrade replacement and installed Synoptic Ethernet hub and Novell file server for the maintenance division.- Developed quality management processes and systems for maintenance to define key processes and measures, for continual improvement, which helped achieve the 1993 Malcolm Baldrige and 1994 Texas Quality awards.- Facilitated team of maintenance department supervisors to define performance assessment / training systems which were used with maintenance electricians to comply with OSHA Process Safety Management regulations and achieve OSHA VPP Star status in 1994. - Coordinated a team of seven electricians and technicians to perform preventive maintenance and repair work on over 100 uninterrupted power supply (UPS) systems in the plant. Developed engineering standards for the installation of new systems. After improvements were completed we had no failures during a power outage.

Upon completing degree, was promoted to electrical engineer.
