PPGC is a combined cycle Power plant which uses Naphtha & Natural gas as fuel. It produces 230 MW through gas turbine & 100 MW through Steam turbine which is the output of HRSG. We are utilizing the steam output from HRSG to steam turbines which makes useful further more100 MW. We do have automatic CO2 fire suppresion systems in all control room. We do have a dedicated Fire crew with 24 qualified personnel & 3 fire tendors. Also, we do have all type of active & passive fire protection systems like Smoke & heat detectors, Heat sensing cables, Hydrants (both single & double), Water monitors, more than sufficient fire extinguishers, foam trolleys. Apart from this, we do have separate Fire water pump house with the capacity of 330000m3 portable water tank, in which we have 4 pumps & 2 stand-by pumps. All checks & inspections are carried in regular basis for all those systems. We do have separate fire control room which is fully computerized and DCS system. Fire alarms will be managed with the help of Fire alarm panel. In PPGC, i work as Safety & Fire Engineer. Contractor Fire crew of 24 are under us. My main activities are :1.
