KS Rao - Executive Vice-President & Head – Investor Education & Distribution Development with Aditya Birla Sun Life AMC Ltd. With over three decades of experience in the mutual fund industry, he has brought diversity, depth, and breadth of knowledge across the entire value chain of sales, distribution, marketing, strategic planning, and investor education. Rao’s mission is to spread financial literacy and investor education by conceptualizing and introducing innovative programmes that target various segments across geographies. He has brought to life many now-successful programmes such as the Nivesh Mahakumbh, ForHER, Fauji Nivesh, and Money Lab, among others, that have empowered and impacted millions of investors across India. Rao is a member of the Financial Literacy Committee of Association of Mutual Fund Industry (AMFI) and Member of Mutual Fund Examination Committee at National Institute of Securities Market (NISM). He is also a certified executive coach from the International Coach Federation and an alumnus of IIM, Calcutta. Rao holds a degree in Dairy Technology, MBA - Finance , Post Graduate Diplomas in Portfolio Management & International Business as well as being a certified Chartered Wealth Manager from the American Academy of Financial Management. As a passionate advocate for financial literacy and investor education, Rao has pioneered initiatives such as Investors' Hangout, Mutually Yours Podcast, Smart Selfie, and Samriddhi. His team has conducted over 14k outreach programs, and he has leveraged media partnerships with educational institutions and Universities across India to maximize his message’s impact. Under his leadership, ABSLMF has set the standard for excellence in the mutual fund industry, winning the Asia Asset Management's Best Fund House for Investor Education and the Best Fund house for Investor Education award from Outlook Money several times in a row.
