Research Administration central office pre- and post-award activities, specifically • Reviewing and negotiating terms and conditions of research agreements, subcontracts, non-consideration agreements, and associated modifications with private, federal and state agencies in coordination with Contract Managers. • Developing, editing, and reviewing required documentation for proposal submission in compliance with agency guidelines and in coordination with faculty and departments. • Reviewing and interpreting contract and grant terms and conditions to determine prior approval requirements and allowability of costs. • Coordinating account set-up processes, administration, and monitoring. • Assisting university research faculty with applicable grant accounting compliance; time & effort, cost transfer, cost share, sub recipient monitoring, CAS/major project exemptions, etc, both in a central role and in coordination with ORC Compliance. • Coordinating with General Counsel; Tech Transfer Office regarding intellectual property issues; IRB and IACUC personnel; Finance & Accounting regarding financial issues; University departmental personnel, and Research Foundation as applicable. • Training and mentoring new team Contract Coordinators and Student Assistants.
