Elvis is a seasoned leader, professional and entrepreneur. For over 20 years, having previously worked with Bureau Veritas, British American Tobacco and other organizations. Elvis has demonstrated competence and brings onboard expertise in conformity assessment (certification, inspection & testing), energy management and executive leadership.Elvis is passionate about energy management and its contribution to the low carbon economy. He provides insights and guidance to energy users, authorities, organizations, investors and the general public on energy management, clean energy and sustainability to help shape the climate change narrative while improving on energy use, policy formulation and generating profits. He is a certified energy manager (CEM), a certified energy auditor (CEA), an ISO 50001 Energy Management System (EnMS) Lead Implementer and Auditor with proficiency and tangible accomplishments in energy audits, energy efficiency projects, energy efficiency financing, measurement and verification of energy/carbon savings, capacity building and energy policy formulation. Elvis is also a conformity assessment specialist working as a consultant, lead implementer, lead auditor and trainer for ISO 9001 QMS, ISO 14001 EMS, ISO 45001 OHSMS & ISO 50001 EnMS International Standards. He has supported more than 200 organizations mostly MSMEs to implement and acquire certification, delivered over 1,000 hours of third-party auditing and trained thousands of professionals thus helping organizations meet compliance obligations, improve efficiency, reduce costs and access new markets.Elvis served as President of the Energy Efficiency Association of Uganda (EEAU) which is the Association of Energy Engineers Uganda Chapter. He has established governance structures, improved membership growth and retention, increased the number of certified energy professionals, enhanced collaborations with stakeholders, and established the women and student chapters to foster inclusion. Apparently, the focus is to promote energy management, provide clean energy solutions and address climate change through reducing energy end-use, increase energy efficiency and optimize energy supply to achieve a low carbon future. Elvis’ mission is to live a simple, happy and fulfilling life with integrity and humility while making an impact in the lives of others, addressing society needs and building a legacy that transcends generations.
