When I started my programming journey a mentor said something to me that has stuck with me for all these years. He said, we are not really programmers we are more like composers or conductors. Ours is not to re-invent the wheel, but to find the wheel and make it work for you. With that said, I have worked for the same company for almost 30 years, and due to unforeseen circumstances I believe I am going to have to finish my programming journey elsewhere. I am highly adaptable and I am proficient in ASP.NET, VB.NET, JavaScript, AJAX, RESTful apps, SQL, and Windows apps. I have started teaching myself MAUI/XAMARIN to learn how to write mobile apps. I can read and understand C#, but I am not quite conformable writing in it yet. I have found that ChatGPT is a great resource for translating code from one language to another. Kind of like what a conductor might do.
