The Director for the Fund for Black-led Change develops the Foundation’s strategy to deploy the Fund for Black-led Change and manage its execution. The Fund for Black-led Change is a 5-year, $20 million capacity building initiative.The Director is responsible for the visioning, development, and implementation of programming, capacity building opportunities, convenings, and grantmaking designed to support the infrastructure of Black-led movements building power and changing systems to advance racial justice in the greater Washington, DC region.

Collaborates with Co-Director to oversee the administrative, programmatic and strategic planning of the coalition. Directly responsible for executive committee governance and infrastructure, as well as developing long-term planning and strategy for executive committee members. Develops and cultivates resources through fundraising, grant writing and event planning to ensure financial solvency of organization. Responsible for internal advocacy programming which includes a Constituent Engagement Program, implementation of organizational anti-racism strategy and conducting advocacy and budget training for organizations and their members/constituents. Manages membership recruitment, maintenance and tracking annual dues of a coalition of 50 community organizations. Manages social and traditional media, including all press inquiries. Oversees and implements appropriate resources to ensure that the operations of the organization are appropriate, including managing all contracts, liaison to the fiscal sponsor.

Collaborate with the AmeriCorps manager and site supervisors to develop and implement a hiring process to staff a team of 13 yearlong AmeriCorps members. Plan and implement a two-weeklong pre-service training for all members. Provide weekly training to AmeriCorps members in various topics including social justice, restorative practices, academic growth, facilitation skills and monthly service projects. Gather, assess and implement weekly feedback from AmeriCorps members. Plan and coordinate yearly AmeriCorps Spring Break retreat.

Manages the Stages of Life grant and program, which serves over 300 middle schoolers annually. The Stages of Life program is a comprehensive sexual health program, which includes weekly classes, two annual health fairs and parent education workshops. Responsible for hiring, training and directly supervising a yearly AmeriCorps team of four. Develops and implements a year-long member development supervision plan including but not limited to one-on-one feedback sessions, annual and semi-annual performance evaluations. Plans and implements the daily operations of the Stages of Life program which includes developing and adapting Stages of Life curriculum for grades 5-8, maintaining school partnerships, overseeing sexual health classes, grant reporting and managing program budget.

Coordinates the Agency Achievement Academy (A3) training program. The A3 training program provides capacity building workshops and additional opportunities to the food bank's 700+ partner agencies located in the greater Washington DC community. Responsible for recruiting, training and managing skilled volunteers and volunteer instructors, as well as creating opportunities to engage existing skilled volunteers. Conduct targeted workshop promotion including materials development, recruitment calls, and mailings. Collaborate with regional teams to determine necessary workshop creation and expand Education team's course offerings.Write and refine workshop curriculum, facilitate workshops on an as-needed basis, coordinate workshop logistics including event management. Use Raiser's Edge to track participant data and collaborate with the coordination of capacity building grants, as well as soliciting capacity building donations. Develop and administer pre and post workshop surveys, as well as identify new opportunities to collect feedback from workshop participants.

Working within the Food For Kids and Education Departments to support the mission of providing nutritious meals to children and teens at-risk of hunger by coordinating a capacity building program. The Empowerment Program will help our partners reach their full potential and move toward self-sustainability through individualized support. Responsible for developing and conducting comprehensive workshops that are responsive to the needs of our site leaders. I conduct monthly trainings that are specific to the needs and wants of our sites including: Communication 101, Volunteer Recruitment and Management, Promoting Healthy Eating to Kids, Recruiting and Retaining Youth to Your Afterschool Program, Proposal Writing and Budgeting. In addition to planning workshops I conduct yearlong assessments with each of our 80+ sites, through questionnaires, site visits, evaluations, surveys and action plans. Additional responsibilities include community outreach, writing RFPs and managing equipment requests/deliveries.

· Constructed science based after school lesson plans and conducted student science experiments such as butterfly hatching, student volcanoes and ant farming. · Organized and planned weekend science based field trips such as trips to the Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens, Butterfly Pavilion and the National Zoo. · Managed and trained a staff of 10 after school teachers. · Facilitated professional development workshops for staff.

· Worked intensively with 20 girls aged 7-14 in a 7 week safety and violence prevention program. · Implemented and delivered curriculum focusing on living safe and strong. The curriculum includes: teasing and bullying, safe and equal dating and responding to anger. · Collaborated with co-facilitator and martial arts specialist for a culminating event at the end of the program.
