Led marketing and sales for VC-backed start-up company with a voice record/playback semiconductor product that enabled the creation of a wave of consumer products. ISD completed IPO and secondary offerings in 1995 and raised over $100M. ISD was recognized as the 3rd fastest growing technology company in Silicon Valley between 1991–1995 (source: Deloitte & Touche). Acquired by Winbond Electronics in 1997.• Grew worldwide annual sales from $0 to $55M during a four-year period (1991–1995). • Developed North American, European, and Asian sales organizations of direct salespeople, representatives, and distributors. Developed factory product marketing organization as well as field and factory applications engineering.• Key participant in all fund raising activities, from VC funding, partners, to public financing. • Evangelized the cellular telephone embedded telephone answering machine and voice memo function and developed major program with Motorola in Startac™ product line.• Conceived and developed the Hallmark Cards voice recordable greeting card program and ChipCorder™ branding program. • Developed Medtronic, Inc. corporate partnering relationship that resulted in major investment. Key design-win in implanted cardiac defribbilator application for storing analog cardiac history.
