Stephanie Storkel is a tranformational business leader. She serves as Pedersen & Houpt's chief operating officer, responsible for the firm's overall strategic and financial plans which include talent acquisitions, practice development, competitive pricing, client relations, technology solutions, risk management and business profitability. She is a key contributor to the firm's partnership and executive leadership. Stephanie has many years of professional service industry experience. She has lead key initiatives that have demonstrated a propensity for talent development and operational effectiveness and efficiencies.She joined the firm in 1987, and has served as the Administrator and she was promoted to Director of Finance and Administration in 1992 and Chief Operating Officer in 2001. Prior to joining Pedersen & Houpt, she was the Administrator of a 100 plus year old Chicago commercial and litigation full service law firm where she automated financial systems, streamlined office practices and sourced new talent. She has served on several boards of directors and has held a variety of positions at the international, national, regional and local levels of various professional business and legal associations. As a noted speaker, She has been involved in numerous national, state and local professional association programs and served as a facilitator for seminar panels. She has also authored a number of articles on various aspects of strategic positioning and business management, people talent and utilization, office moves and relocations, and profitability enhancements. She supports and volunteers her time to Cycle for Survival, the Ronald McDonald House charities and Pedersen-McCormick Boys and Girls Club of Chicago, to name a few. In addition, she served on the Auxiliary Advisory Board of the Lincoln Park Zoological Society, where she was active with both fundraising and public relations efforts.
