About Stacey Buttel, M.A.
I am a proud workforce development and education administration professional with a combined 20+ years of experience in both fields. Within the workforce development world, I am currently a Program Manager in charge of a $1 million+ grant that serves out of school youth ages 18-24 that builds a path to self-sufficiency while eliminating barriers to education and employment. Previously, I was an Upskilling and Youth and Young Adult Services Coordinator where I had the honor of making a difference in many people's lives by leading a team who provided services such as upskilling training and career coaching in the community. I have been a Career Facilitator with the Virtual Upskilling for Employment Team and have designed, developed, published, and maintained all social media accounts for the Workforce Development Department as well as conducted virtual career development workshops on those accounts. I was Career Facilitator for the Catalyst Youth grant from the Franklin County Board of Commissioners. I designed and created innovative career discovery and development curriculum that served 100+ credit recovery high school students at Flex High School and Focus Learning Academies located in Columbus, Ohio. This provided at-risk youth with direction and counseling to career pathways and numerous credential opportunities so that they can land their first professional job and continue to grow their career.I also have 21 years of experience in the education field. I was a Social Studies Educator for 17 years, an Assistant Principal for 2 years, and a Principal for 2 years. As a Principal, I created an innovation center connecting local businesses with students providing real-life job experiences, coordinated state-required building-wide assessments, evaluated classroom instruction highlighting enrichment opportunities, managed facility improvements including student security, developed and promoted student success and a positive school culture, formed and administered a building budget, and constructed the teacher master schedule. As an Assistant Principal, I implemented a school-wide Positive Behavior Interventions and Support (PBIS) program, developed a fair and efficient discipline program, evaluated and collaborated with educators to improve practice, and conducted numerous professional development sessions with educators to improve student achievement.
