Associate Teacher – Physical Education (2nd placement school) - February 2014 – March 2014Whilst on a short placement at this school I gained a great deal of experience in teaching A Level, GCSE and BTEC PE and I am confidently delivering the AQA syllabus to a high standard. This was on top of daily lessons across, OAA, Health related fitness, badminton, basketball and dance.

I was responsible for the welfare and well-being of up to 55 foreign students aged 11 – 13 year olds as well as team of staff. My role included a variety of tasks all requiring great organisation and time management skills. I was also required to organise and run the evening social programme.

Employed by an Italian/German speaking family, based in Bolzano Italy. Whilst working I took sole responsibility wellbeing and welfare for two children aged 5 and 9. I worked with the children full time Monday to Friday and was in charge of their daily routine. I was there to assist at all times, and most importantly teach the children English. On arrival the children knew no English, meaning I had to be imaginative and creative in thinking up games and activities in English.

I was responsible for the overall running of the schools and colleges programme whilst out in the ski resort Italy. Organisation was vital, ensuring all paper work was completed and all the clients were in the correct places throughout the resort. Negotiation and persuasion were also essential as it often involved liaising with staff, coach drivers, ski instructors, hoteliers, and restaurant owners.

Plan and lead gymnastics classes for a range of different ability classes, including competition squad and recreational gymnastics. Ensure session are exciting and engaging. Work towards producing an annual gymnastics show and preparing elite gymnasts for competitions.
