Crew lead for the South Shore team of shorebird monitors for Mass Audubon’s Coastal Waterbird Program. Field-based position collecting spatially explicit observational data of the behavioral, reproductive, and community ecology of federal and state listed piping plovers and least terns. Compose weekly nesting activity reports to land owners. Schedule the team’s monitoring visits for all sites to ensure compliance with landowner contracts while prioritizing presence on beaches with high human disturbance and sensitive stages of nesting activity. Train volunteers for the Town of Hull’s Plover Ambassador program. Train DCR rangers how to self-escort their ORV patrols to ensure chick safety.

I worked in the Alternative Energy Lab in the Thermal Science and Fluid Dynamics research group in UF's Mechanical Engineering Department. I conducted research on the UT-3 thermochemical hydrogen production cycle, offshore wind power generation, life cycle assessment (LCA) and eMergy synthesis. I was a teaching assistant for 9 semesters for several undergraduate courses including Statics, Thermodynamics, Thermo-Heats Design and Lab, and Thermo-Fluids Design and Lab.
