I am a seasoned nonprofit administrator with a special talent for operations and events management. I learned the basics of project management in my first career as an opera stage and production manager, ensuring upwards of 100 people were in the right place at the right time doing the right thing over a 3- to 4-week rehearsal period and numerous public performances. After burning out on the incredible time demands of the job (12-hour days, 6 days per week), I parlayed those skills into a very rewarding career as operations manager for nonprofits. This newer career has the added benefit of allowing me to support organizations who are making the world a better place. I support their missions and that feeds me. I have also been challenged to stretch my capabilities in many ways, whether it was learning fundraising theory and practice, managing the post-grant process, developing complex budgets, or maintaining and updating the website. My skills in team-building, communications, project scheduling and budgeting, and donor and community relations, couple with my energy, enthusiasm, and commitment to make me really good at my job.
