I coordinate the Teen Court, Mentor Program and Juvenile Substance Abuse Court. Fall of 2016 I also played a fundamental role in implementing the first gender specific minor/juvenile court in the state of Texas here in our JP3 court. I monitor the minors and juveniles that the Judge puts on deferred probation, including but not limited to, school and home visits. I began both the Teen Court and Mentor programs here in Precinct 3 and also created and wrote the manual for our Juvenile Substance Abuse Court.

Each juvenile who comes into court is my responsibility. I find out if they have prior charges and if those have relevance to the current charge then I find services to provide support. I also provide support when necessary to the family. This may take as long as 180 days. I am the Teen Court Coordinator and facilitate the function of that court which is staffed completely by teen volunteers who I train. I also coordinate the Juvenile Substance Abuse Court which I wrote the policies and procedures for and facilitate it's function. I visit juveniles at home and at school and make sure that they are in compliance with the orders of the court. I have attended graduations and taught students to drive. My goal is success for each juvenile that comes through our doors.
