My tenure at the housing charity coincided with a period of significant change and growth. The team size tripled, senior leadership transitioned, new funding streams were secured, and the organisation navigated emerging crises like the influx of Ukrainian families and the Cost-of-Living crisis.These dynamic conditions demanded adaptability, resourcefulness, and a commitment to serving the community amidst evolving needs. This backdrop of change fuelled my commitment to building a strong project team, securing additional funding, and collaborating with influential stakeholders.In my current role as Performance Manager, I wear multiple hats, integrating responsibilities as a Grant Manager, Project Manager, and financial expert. My strategic engagement with stakeholders, including 7 funding bodies, 8 partner organisations, and three commissioned individuals, is paramount to successful project delivery.As well as full funding and grant manager duties, I also managed internal finance activities, including project expenditure profiling, budget lifecycle development, tracking, and execution.Key achievements: * Successful grant management of £1.1million partnership project over three years.* Additional grant application success of £705,000 (£390,000 statutory bodies such as Welsh Government; £315,000 other funding bodies such as Comic Relief).* Chaired the organisations first public event at the Welsh Parliament Pierhead Building.* Initiated, designed, and directed quarterly project strategic meetings to ensure activities are adapted to rapidly changing external environments, aligning outputs with funder requirements. * Successful leadership on budget planning cycles to identify financial risks and mitigating actions to ensure long-term financial sustainability of the projects and organisation.

I played a pivotal role in project planning and financial management, developing and maintaining concurrent project plans, budgets, risk registers, and stakeholder communication plans. My naturally meticulous approach to tracking and monitoring financial aspects, reporting, and outcome delivery ensured compliant execution of projects.Aligning projects with broader objectives, I ensured consistency with charity policies, governance standards, and regulatory requirements. This strategic alignment not only upheld the integrity of our initiatives but also contributed to the overall success of the rapidly growing organisation.I led the development and implementation of a comprehensive system for evaluating the impact of funded projects, providing valuable insights for continuous improvement and team development. This holistic approach fostered a culture of learning and growth, enhancing the overall effectiveness and understanding of the true impact of our projects.Securing and managing over £875k in Welsh Government and Comic Relief grant funding showcased my proficiency in grant management and financial stewardship along with the successful delivery of the Hosting project under budget further demonstrated my commitment to efficient resource utilisation.Recognised for my expanded skill set, including financial and funding management expertise, I earned an internal promotion to the role of Performance Manager.

As a Project Coordinator for the Mental Health and Wellbeing Pilot Project, I led a novel initiative for individuals experiencing homelessness, earning the CEO's trust for independent project management.Forming and supervising a dedicated team of six, we introduced innovative wellbeing activities, providing crucial support for mental health and substance use concerns.I designed, initiated, management, monitored, and closed the project in a full project cycle. Working on the frontline, I initiated impactful initiatives like food preparation sessions and communal meal-sharing to understand the challenges faced by the homeless population.I established and managed referral pathways, building relationships with key agencies such as The Wallich, NHS, and Local Authorities to strengthen the project's reach.To enhance the project's impact, I designed and delivered a "Five Steps to Wellbeing training" to 45 attendees, collaborating on workshops like gardening, woodwork, and wall art.Preparing case studies and a detailed report led to the project's extension and relocation to larger premises due to increased demand for support.
