About Stacey Adam

I oversee multiple portfolios at the Foundation for the National Institute of Health (FNIH). Major partnerships I oversee are the Accelerating COVID-19 Therapeutic Interventions and Vaccines (ACTIV) Therapeutics-Clinical Working Group, Partnership for Accelerating Cancer Therapies (PACT), the Lung Master protocol (Lung-MAP) clinical trial, and the cancer steering committee of the Biomarkers Consortium. I am a molecular pharmacologist skilled in molecular biology techniques, animal modeling, clinical genomics, systems biology, project and team management and strategy consulting. Prior to FNIH, I was a Manager at Deloitte Consulting within the Federal Life Sciences and Healthcare Strategy practice where I supported federal and non-profit clients. I managed institute-wide strategic research planning efforts; development a novel technology platform to assist scientific non-profits with combining clinical, genomic, and patient-generated data; and review of grants and development of new programs for a federally-associated non-profit.I conducted my postdoctoral fellowship at Stanford University with both an NIH and American Cancer Society fellowships. While at Stanford, I developed better animal models for studying lymphoma and osteosarcoma; performed large cancer genomics screens for genes related to self-renewal, differentiation, and tumor recurrence; merged high-throughput biological techniques with novel animal models to define molecular disease signatures to allow for rapid cancer diagnosis and prognosis; and worked with companies to test novel compounds in pre-clinical trials. I earned my PhD in Pharmacology with a Mammalian Toxicology certificate from Duke University, and my BS in Clinical Laboratory Science-Medical Technology from the University of Nebraska-Medical Center.Specialties: Scientific: design and employment of animal models for cancer research, tissue culture, phlebotomy, multiple bench top molecular biology techniquesConsulting: research and business strategy development, RFP and grant writing, project management, team management
