I am a lifelong educator motivated to see students at all grade levels succeed in school and in life. I've spent many years giving underserved students the knowledge and life skills to achieve academically and professionally. Since 2010, I have managed on-site operations -from hiring and training staff to creating curriculum to leading workshops- for multi-day experiential learning conferences in nationwide locations including Boston, Washington, D.C., Los Angeles and the Bay Area. These conferences hosted up to 2,500 students and focused on teaching applied skills including communication, decision-making, and project management. CONFERENCE MANAGEMENTCreating and implementing conference curriculum. Recruiting, hiring, training, evaluating and managing payroll for temporary staff. Leading workshops and discussion groups for high school students. Serving as conference liaison to parents, vendors, speakers and hotel contacts at each event. Providing logistics planning for vendors and attendees. On-site management, including move-in and move-out oversight. Conducting pre- and post- event meetings.
