I am a creative director, design curator, and producer with over 10 years of experience in the design and architecture sector. I have a PhD in Architecture and an MSc in The City (University of Edinburgh) and a BDes from DJCAD. My passion is to connect audiences with contemporary design in Scotland and internationally through innovative exhibitions, events, symposia, and cultural projects.My projects have been featured by Dezeen, Vogue, Wallpaper, Elle Decor, It's Nice That, Design Milk, the BBC and The Future Laboratory. As the founder and director of Local Heroes, I put exceptional Scottish design on a world stage, collaborating with diverse organisations and businesses from airports and art hubs to hotels and hospitals. I commission and support designers to develop new work and present it to a global audience. As the creative director of Dundee Design Festival, I lead the artistic vision and strategy of a biannual celebration of design in the UK's only UNESCO City of Design. I have been recognised as a V&A Dundee Design Champion and the recipient of Creative Edinburgh's Leadership Award winner. I have also been a Design Curator in Residence at various institutions at home and internationally. I write and speak about design culture, trends, and issues for various platforms and publications.
