Imperial Cancer Research Fund (now Cancer Research UK) was a complex organisation with 2200 staff around the UK, including scientists, doctors and fundraisers, and 500 shops . As Head of Communications Stacey developed campaigns to build awareness of cancer risks and to support fundraising objectives. She ensured that complex scientific and medical ideas were translated effectively for journalists, staff and the funders. Managed the media perception of 'cancer breakthroughs' responsibly and without hype.
