Originally employed as a junior copy editor; promoted in July 2005, then further promoted to senior copy editor in February 2006. Responsibilities included editing and producing all copy for all brand extensions (magazine, website, mobile, mailers, in-house). Also conducted interviews, wrote features, coordinated photo shoots, produced monthly flat-plan, managed sections within the magazine and commissioned freelancers. I was the managing editor for the dummy issue of ZOO Weekly.

Collected material, conducted interviews, took photographs and attended functions. I maintained website for Vaal Weekly on a weekly basis. Removed expired material and replaced with current news. I trained Vaal Weekly and Vaal Vision’s journalists once a week, focusing on language, punctuation, grammar and good newspaper writing skills.
