About Stacie Sherer

I have always been inspired by the power of communications to move people, brands and businesses. The communications discipline has changed dramatically over the course of my career, primarily due to technology, which I find exciting and invigorating. Since I was a child, watching my science teacher dad with the mind of an engineer tinkering with all types of electronics and early personal computers, I’ve been thrilled by the power of technology to reinvent, disrupt and change people’s lives in deeply personal ways. Early in my career, I was so inspired by the initial “dot com boom” that I relocated to San Francisco to be part of the transformation underway. And more recently, I was a member of the leadership team at WW that launched the transformation to move from an analog-first, waterfall development organization to a mobile-first, agile one to drive growth and relevance for the brand.The type of change we face today requires clarity of purpose, authentic leadership and an integrated approach. I’m known for developing a deep understanding of stakeholder audiences – both internal and external – and leveraging that understanding to create inspiring narratives, compelling content, and exciting experiences that move people and business. For more than seven years, I was the head of communications for WW (formerly Weight Watchers) charged with transforming the culture and brand with a scope that included consumer PR, corporate external communications (including financial communications), employee communications, key opinion leader engagement, issues and crisis management, and executive communications support. Prior to that, I spent 15 years at a global communications agency advising Fortune 500 clients on how to evolve their brands to find relevance and improve or protect their reputation.
