My goal is to not only teach the fundamental and strategic aspects of the game, but apply life lessons and team work, while building self confidence through team play and competition. My practices employ game-like drills with lots of feedback and encouragement to make mistakes in the pursuit of improvement. I expect each player to give it their all and have fun, while challenging themselves to improve and play competitively. I believe that sports teams are a place where athletes learn that you don’t always get what you want in life, and that hard work, on and off the court pays off. We keep score in life because it matters. Too many people opt out and never discover their own abilities, because they fear failure. If athletes learn to fail in practice and in games and are able to pick themselves back up and show up for their teammates, they will learn they can do more than they think they can, rather than someone telling them so. My goal is for my athletes to push themselves, to expect more from themselves; to develop better learners, good winners, sportsmanlike losers, and young women who are more confident in their abilities and themselves.I focus on building strong relationships with each of my athletes through communication, encouragement, mutual respect and a love of the game.

Allen Hall Public Relations is a student-run public relations firm at the University of Oregon. Allen Hall Public Relations is a public relations agency unlike any other. In business for more than 10 years, AHPR provides services ranging from media relations to event planning.

I am the former Panhellenic council’s vice president of Recruitment for Greek life at the University of Oregon. Panhellenic council is the governing body of all the sororities on campus. My job has opened multiple opportunities for leadership roles. I’ve overseen a staff of seven women, managed a $20,000 budget, planed fall formal recruitment, and organized programming for week of welcome and IntroDUCKtion. I have also facilitated recruitment chair meetings, and recruitment counselor training sessions. Through this experience I have had the opportunity to speak to large groups of parents and students to promote and educate them about the positive influence the Greek Community can have on ones undergraduate experience. This job requires me to be detail oriented, enthusiastic, independent, self-motivated, and personable. Through this job I’ve learned conflict management, good customer service, and verbal communication skills.
