Sleep Technician
Initially trained as a Sleep Technician to screen suspected sleep disorders patients in Primary Care offices with the STOP-Bang Questionnaire and Epworth Sleepiness Scale. If patients were found to be at risk for a Sleep Disorder, I demonstrated how to use a Home Sleep Test device so they could screen themselves and bring back the test the next day. The result of the Home Sleep Test determined whether further In-Lab Sleep Testing and treatment was needed. This experience helped me to understand the role of Sleep Technicians that were placed in Primary Care offices in order to help with managing our operations efficiently and better serve as Executive Assistant.
