I started my career as a QC Chemist with Cargill Oilseeds in a soybean hydrogenation plant in Sioux City, Iowa. I helped develop Fatty Acid profiles by GC for identification of trans-fats.After 4+ years in Sioux City I transferred with Cargill to a pilot plant position in Savage, MN. Cargill Dow Polymers was formed, and I started a research position at Cargill's Research Headquarters in Wayzata, MN. I worked in Materials Science, developing technologies for PLA/Poly Lactic Acid, a biodegradable plastic now marketed by NTIC in Circle Pines under the brand name, NatureTec.In 2013 I began as a contract chemist in the IATD division of 3M, testing instant adhesives. After 11 months I transferred into the regulatory department and learned the 3M Raw Materials process. In 2015 I accepted a contract position within the Raw Materials Spec Group.In 2017 I was hired into 3M as a Raw Materials Coordinator for the DMSD and FMRD Divisions. I assisted in development of the Run Request System in PLM and served as an internal ISO auditor.In 2021 I accepted a new position in the Raw Materials Spec Group.
