Professional Development and Training- founded the district-level School Avoidance Committee and brought in MTSS leadership to develop, facilitate, and lead a professional development and training initiative to launch and improve MTSS Attendance practices district-wide. Discipline Support Coordinator for entire district- Responsibilities include developing trainings for all certificated administrators, monitoring all exclusionary discipline for equity, legal compliance and accuracy, data auditing and analysis, as well as coordinating discipline appeal hearings. Attendance Specialist Support- moderator for district-wide Attendance team; trains, moderates, and monitors practice for legal compliance and equity; provides regular and on-demand trainings and professional development.Truancy Case Manager and Paralegal for all truancy petitions throughout district. Willows is a Microsoft Performance School. My Design program curriculum is based on the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Design Program and Stanford University's Design Thinking and Design for Educators program. Curriculum is delivered through discovery, or project-based learning, as well as gamification. Students in my classroom gain knowledge and experience with computer science and coding through the Microsoft and Micro:bit web-based coding platforms, Makecode. Students learn Java Script and Python in Makecode and also HTML and CSS with web development projects.
