Coach Stephens demonstrates leadership skills both in her work as Head Coach and in the greater campus community. Coach Stephens had many responsibilities some of which were added to her responsibilities after she started. She consistently communicates expectations to athletic staff and collaborates effectively with coaches for all sports as well as the campus as a whole. She has supervised program substance abuse testing and education programs, maintained accurate and timely records. Coach Stephens has extensive knowledge of budgeting practices and communicates effectively with various departments across campus. She possesses extensive knowledge coordinating the Women’s Basketball program certification and eligibility requirements and developed all summer camp programs. Coach Stephens has managed facilities related to the basketball program and maintained the highest standard of operation when ensuring the success of student-athletes. Coach Stephens also contributed to other areas of the college. She regularly volunteered to work with students outside of the classroom through many campus activities encouraging holistic student development. Students interact comfortably with Coach Stephens, as do faculty, staff and administrators. Coach Stephens regularly applied policies resulting in high standards for student development, engagement and success.
