I became a Travel Agent in 2023 because I have always loved to travel and enjoy the planning process. As a teacher, I found that my organization and research skills that I have developed over the years have transferred well to my business. I am a certified travel planner in Disney Destinations, Universal Studios, Viking, Carnival, Royal Caribbean, Princess, Virgin, Norwegian and Celebrity Cruise lines and have certifications with several All-Inclusive properties as well. As a Special Education Teacher at Cape Henlopen School District, I have been working with students with autism and other severe disabilities at the middle and high school level for over eight years. I have a Master of Education degree in Special Education and another one in Educational Leadership, both from Wilmington University. I also hold multiple certifications in autism, severe disabilities, middle school math and language arts, and school leadership. My mission is to provide quality instruction and support to my students and their families as they navigate their secondary education and help them transition to adulthood and post-secondary opportunities. I have created and implemented linked dashboards for transition activities and staff workflow access, written a paraeducator handbook, and led professional development sessions for teachers and paraeducators. I have also coordinated accommodations for state testing and lead school improvement teams and professional learning communities. In addition, I have organized scheduling for thirty students with disabilities, while remaining cognizant of staff coverage efficiency for the past eight years. I am passionate about mentoring new teachers and paraeducators and fostering a collaborative and inclusive learning environment.
