• Designs, leads, and implements Pro-Black programming at all 38 schools within the network.• Co-leads a network improvement community that focuses on Black Excellence.• Co-leads culturally responsive teaching sessions during principal communities of practice.• Co-founded the Bay Area Region Black affinity group.• Created structures for other affinity groups in the Bay Area, Central Valley, and Los Angeles regions including Latinx, Asian/Pacific Islander, Multi-racial, White Co-Conspirators, and LGBTQ+.• Advises various departments and schools on how to approach racial equity work within their context.• Develops other Aspire leaders to facilitate conversations regarding racial equity.• Facilitated the input of educators to design a culturally responsive teaching addition to Aspire’s classroom observation rubric.• Established the Equity Driver role and facilitates quarterly conversations with teachers by region to develop equity consciousness and supports site-based equity plans.• Co-founded Aspire’s Diversity Equity Inclusion Council.• Supports the reclassification process of Multi-language learners throughout all 38 schools within the network.

Produces and hosts a podcast that discusses race through a biracial/multiracial lens around topics such as policing, voting rights, and racial identity development.

This team-based cohort program is a space for Black leaders that focuses on Pro-Blackness (the brilliance, gifts, ideas and wisdom of Black leaders) so that we can come together to plant the seeds for organizational structures and cultures that support us.

• Plans and teaches a course that examines positionality, teaching and schooling in our American democracy.• Facilitates conversations with teacher residents around texts such as Ladson-Billings, Freire, and Yosso.• Coordinates with head of Bay Area Teacher Residency Program for a complementary experience for residents.

Designs and facilitates for two distinct professional learning communities that meet monthly for public charter schools in West Contra Costa that are creating Black Student Unions and Black family affinity spaces.

A year-long studies of media with Black educators in the Bay Area including Zaretta Hammond’s Culturally Responsive Teaching & the Brain and the docuseries America to Me.

Twice quarterly meetings with African American 5th grade boys to validate, empower, and inform their experience as Black males.

A year-long program for leaders committed to leading, designing and facilitating equity-centered learning experiences in their context. The fellowship fostered a network of leaders that experience opportunities for learning, renewal, inspiration, healing and sustenance while going deeper with their own transformational leadership development.
