Career Education: Curriculum Development, Innovation, & Delivery. I managed the BA 101: Career Planning and Professional Development course for business school students. I led the continual development of career education strategy, content, pedagogy, and mode of delivery to meet students’ evolving learning needs. I aligned our instructor team of seven through weekly strategy meetings and semester course evaluation reviews to implement innovative and up-to-date course content, activities, and assessments. I analyzed student self-evaluation data to understand the progress made toward career-readiness competencies. Career Coaching: I coached students of all majors but focused on supporting Management Information Systems, Business Analytics, Finance, and international students of all majors. I conducted mock interviews, resume reviews, business correspondence coaching, LinkedIn reviews, and job search strategy creation. Events & Workshops: I developed and delivered workshops, panels, and other events for my caseload students and the broader BBA student population. I oversaw major events across the student lifecycle: Each August, I coordinated three separate orientations over the span of two weeks to welcome new students and create a first impression worthy of the top Accounting program in the country. I coordinated a large-scale graduation ceremony each May for 300+ students and 4,000 guests. My favorite event during the year was the Speed Networking Reception. I'm especially proud of how I redesigned the Career Services Canvas site for students by developing a new navigational look, re-organizing content, and adding new resources. I also implemented the use of Canvas for the MPA internship course for the first time ever, which allowed faculty to log in and grade coursework using the Canvas rubric instead of physical files.

I managed the MPA Program Office front desk, which involved covering the desk, and hiring, training, and supervising the front desk student workers. I enjoyed supporting all team members and functions of the MPA Program Office: Admissions, Academics, and Careers. I learned about all functions of the office in order to create a wiki website of information, documentation, and training for the office, which was admired and adopted by other McCombs offices. In this role, I was able to design several new procedures and uses for new technologies; one of my favorites was the procedure for newly admitted students to ensure they are able to set up their new student accounts and submit advising evaluation surveys.

As the sole Hirosaki Education Office Assistant Language Teacher, I served twelve public schools (elementary and junior high) in the Hirosaki region. I team-taught English language classes daily alongside Japanese teachers. I also taught cross-cultural subjects and authored a bilingual weekly cultural observation column to promote cultural learning and exchange. Outside of work, I assisted other JET Program participants in my area with orientation, translation, interpretation, travel, and medical appointments.

In my Desktop and eLearning Support role, I provided technical support to PETEX staff and continuing education students (software/hardware support, course issues, and eLearning content issues). When not providing technical support, I produced eLearning modules using Adobe Captivate with direction from the Instructional Designer. I managed the eBook and educational video library using an Adobe streaming media server. I also managed course enrollment and content on our course site using Moodle open-source LMS.
