Policy Analysis and Guidanceo Led the U.S. Department of Education’s technical assistance and policy analysis on the supplemental educational services (SES) and public school choice provisions of the ESEA.o Led the team responsible for writing and revising the U.S. Department of Education’s guidance documents on SES.o Generated policy solutions in response to challenges and questions from a variety of stakeholders, including state, locale and private education officials. Developed Applications for Federal Education Programso Developed plans for the federal Investing in Innovation (i3) Fund, and drafted the notice of proposed priorities for the program.o Wrote the federal notice inviting applicants for the DC Opportunity Scholarship Program, and led the response to public and congressional inquiries on the program.Authored Education Policy Papers, Speeches and Testimonyo Researched, analyzed and wrote policy papers and speeches on the implementation of the federal public school choice and SES provisions of the ESEA for use by senior officials at the U.S. Department of Education.
