About Stacy Walker
I’ve always been drawn to the step-by-step organization required to realize creative vision. Example? I once transformed a process that took several hours to one that took two minutes! I also led my team to save thousands of dollars in waste by establishing clear production standards.Early on I realized that while I loved working with clients to design marketing materials, products, and memorable events, where I truly excelled was my ability to organize details into a workflow process that married efficiency with creativity. Since those early days I’ve worked with other entrepreneurs to build a boutique bakery rated as one of the top-10 in the nation. I’ve also planned dozens of community events promoting many local businesses.FAVORITE PROJECTS ►COMMUNITY EVENTS: While serving on the Highland Merchant Association and Longmont’s LDDA. I worked to execute major events including Neighborhood Farmers’ Market, Harvest Festival, Christmas Tree Lighting, and more that drew hundreds of participants. ►TEAM LEADERSHIP: I’ve particularly enjoyed mentoring staff, writing administrative policy, and training teams to adopt organizational systems that lead to shared wins. ► ENGAGING PEOPLE: I love helping others to realize their creative vision. I’ve enjoyed working with brides-to-be, business owners, and community groups. I’ve also taught classes, expanded business with key commercial accounts, and sold beautiful products by connecting to client need and helping them to express their goals. As I look forward to the next chapter in my career I’m excited to connect with organizations that would benefit from a project leader who LOVES process and understands the value of detail in executing the big picture.SPECIALTIES→EVENT PLANNING→PROCESS STREAMLINING→BUSINESS OPERATIONS→PROJECT MANAGEMENT→MARKETING→COMMUNTY PROGRAMS→PROGRAM ADMINISTRATION

General Manager → Owner → Event Coordinator
While in culinary school I was looking for a way to practice my skills while building a business. I was initially hired as a part-time baker at this award-winning specialty cake shop but was quickly promoted to full-time Head Baker with additional roles as Wedding Coordinator and Store Manager. After addressing several process-related roadblocks and saving the business thousands in lost product the owners were so pleased that an opportunity to invest was extended. In addition to management of daily operations which included hiring, staff training, inventory control, and facility maintenance, I was also charged with execution of marketing and business expansion strategies. While running and growing this business has been tremendously satisfying, I’m looking forward to a shift back to what I love most—event planning and program development. HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDE:►OPERATIONAL OVERHAUL: As General Manager I initiated production standards that saved $5K+ in waste and lost sales due to employee error. I rewrote all recipes to standardize, retrained our staff, and implemented the new system.►COMMUNITY EVENTS & PUBLIC RELATIONS: While I served on the Highland Merchant Association and Longmont’s LDDA I had an opportunity to collaborate on planning and execution the Neighborhood Farmers’ Market, Harvest Festival, Christmas Tree Lighting, and many more.►EVENT PLANNING & COORDINATION: One of the things I really enjoyed was working with brides-to-be on planning their special day. I worked with our clients to plan cakes, themed desserts, and design the display. I also managed set up at the venue location and negotiation of our final contract. ►BUSINESS EXPANSION: Closing new commercial contracts with the Denver International Airport and Whole Foods took a great deal of organization, administration, negotiation, and presentation skill. While I’m not a natural sales person I excel in setting the stage and organizing the pieces needed to close major accounts.
Content Operations Manager
After being hired as the Promotions Asset Coordinator I was quickly promoted after a year to manage the Promotions Production Department and a team of 20 cross-functional employees. In this role, I managed our deadline-driven fast-paced production department to ensure project execution, successful inter-departmental communication, and organization of all digital assets. Some of my proudest achievements include:►PROCESS OPTIMIZATION: I led development of a new standardized process for content management, production workflow, digital media storage and archiving that significantly reduced time spent and was quickly adopted company-wide.►PROJECT MANAGEMENT: When I realized lack of process cost significant time and led to frustrating miscommunications between departments I worked with software developers as the key leader in developing a new propriety and much-needed digitized project management tool. Teams now have clearer understanding of where projects are in process and deadlines are consistently met. A process that took hours to complete now only takes 2 minutes at most. ►BUILDING PROJECT SUCCESS WITH POSITIVITY: One of the things most important to me in project management is that team members feel valued in the process. Our lack of process led to lack of clear standard, missed deadlines, and very strained relationships between departments. To remedy this I put my focus on designing clear processes and systems that ultimately led to improved employee satisfaction via clear communication.
Owner→Designer→Marketing Strategist
I launched this business from a new startup with the intension of serving small business owners through development of marketing strategies, campaigns, and print materials. In addition, I also designed and produced one-of-a-kind materials for weddings, personal milestones, and various other events.
Production Artist→ Employee Events Committee Member
While I created design themes and templates for marketing and collateral materials I also served as a key member of the committee charged with executing monthly employee events. I assisted to organize and promote events credited with boosting staff morale and contributing to a more positive corporate culture.
