I currently lead Corporate Legal Operations at Travelers, where my small but mighty team strives to partner with our legal groups to help them deliver legal expertise to their business partners in the most effective way. We focus our work on strategic planning and execution, outside counsel and vendor management, data and analytics, technology implementation and adoption, communications and events strategy and planning, and practice support. I proudly consider myself a "recovering lawyer" who also loves the law and working with lawyers. In fact, I've spent almost the entirety of my professional career working with lawyers or law firms. I enjoy being creative and embracing technology and innovation, and I seek out opportunities to bring those mindsets to my work.My professional journey has included a wide variety of jobs, all of which led me, somewhat circuitously, to my current role -- perfect for me! -- in Legal Operations. My career path has included roles as an in-house employment and compliance attorney, a law firm HR director, a labor & employment attorney/litigator in private practice, a research assistant to a law professor, a legal research software student rep, a legal secretary, a speech and debate coach, and a personal assistant.I am incredibly proud to work at Travelers, a great company with tremendous leadership. And I especially appreciate all the ways that our employees execute on the #TravelersPromise (Taking Care of Our Customers, Our Communities and Each Other) every day.On the personal side, l am a mom of three, a Girl Scout troop co-leader and cookie manager, an avid reader, a movie buff, a grammar nerd, and a theatre lover. Some of my favorite things are: ~finding that *one piece* of a jigsaw puzzle that has been eluding you and pushing it into place~smelling and savoring a fresh caprese salad with home-grown tomatoes and basil~losing yourself in a book that you can't put down (most recently "The Heaven and Earth Grocery Store" by James McBride)~enjoying the sound of ocean waves crashing against the shore while my kiddos play in the surf and sand
