Computer Vision PlatformThe Computer Vision Platform provides machine learning-assisted services for extracting visually intelligence from product and user photographs.Built, served, and maintained technology for various computer vision tasks including identifying Nordstrom products in user supplied images, identifying emerging fashion trends, recommending visually similar products, and compiling richer product data.Used Python, Tensorflow, and GCP to train classification, segmentation, and feature embedding networks to enrich Nordstrom’s product intelligence.

The institute aims to design a new world of proteins to address 21st century challenges in medicine, energy and technology. Worked in the main laboratory forwarding Ebola, Influenza, and other research experiments with faculty, laboratory staff and post doctorates.Responsible for the production of designed proteins and protein analytics, including mass spectrometry, chromatography, light scattering and kinetics data analysis. Collaborated with protein designers to optimize lab procedures to meet specific research objectives. New procedures were documented and accepted as the ongoing “standard operating procedures” to ensure high quality processes were used consistently.

The research center is dedicated to the elimination of cancer and related diseases as causes of human suffering and is home to 3 Nobel Laureates. Reported to principal investigator managing projects in a cancer laboratory using developmental biology expertise and data analysis competencies.Responsible for antibody production and fluorescent microscopy of wound healing assays. Presented findings to lab members at each monthly meeting using effective speaking and presentation skills. Ensured everyone clearly received key messages needed to forward their research projects.Produced 8 time lapse videos of fruit flies for lab team to use to establish base line data measurement criteria for gene research experiments. Video quality met high standards allowing team to forward next steps in project life cycle.

Developmental biology research lab studying the role of cell connections in embryonic development. Independent researcher and project manager of experiments involving protein variants, and their effects on cell connection regulation. Achieved project objectives through full project life cycle, supporting larger research objectives. Directed P120-Catenin protein research project in zebra fish embryos experimenting on 3 different variations. Project included planning, achieving management’s approval, creating all necessary reagents, organizing data, producing analytics and summarizing results.Created DNA and RNA constructs for experiments, injected RNA into fish embryos, followed embryos through developmental stages and documented changes. Presented results at symposiums to technical and non-technical audiences.Presented final project results at a poster session at the University of Washington Undergraduate Research Fair. This research was then presented on the national level at the American Society for Cell Biology Conference and is currently being published in the Developmental Dynamics Journal.
