Spice Girls meets Spinal Tap, their collective credits include concerts with: Dick Dale, Joan Jett, Berlin,Van Halen, James Intveld, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy. They are at the center of the new musical "A Falling Star At Buzzard's Roost" which workshopped at the Hollywood Fringe Festival 2019 to SRO audiences. Funny and irreverent, this band is also made up of excellent musicians. MAUREEN & THE MERCURY 5 blend raging Rockabilly, sultry Blues, and toe-tappin’ Swing into a sound for fans of IMELDA MAY, BRIAN SETZER, AMY WINEHOUSE and even THE YEAH YEAH YEAHS. M&M5 have appeared in Paris with NICO DUPORTAL and SANSEVERINO; in Los Angeles with DICK DALE, DEKE DICKERSON and BIG SANDY; and at the infamous Whisky A Go Go in Hollywood with members of Quiet Riot, Cheap Trick & Kiss. I teach rock & roll to kids 7-17 as well as adults. TO DATE I'VE COACHED 4 KIDS TO BROADWAY! Hannah Nordberg the star of "Little Miss Sunshine", Jersey & Walden Sullivan as well as Zack Zwelling -- the stars of "School of Rock: The Musical". They learn to use their entire body to support the sound, to tell stories through song, music theory and Nashville Number system (solfeggio), pop culture and how rock music has changed history, stage presence & performance. I also coach full adult rock bands, in-studio and for the concert stage. My newest student was a yoga master who kept losing her voice: we began using mantras to recover her voice and reinforce yoga breath in singing and speaking.....magical...
