I have been managing hotel refurbishment projects and high end residential with project values from £500000 to £5 million.My role involves managing projects to tight programs which have penalties for non completion.Managing direct and sub contract labour.Agreeing prices and monitoring payments and time sheets for sub contractors and direct labour.I also measure and order materials for dry liners, tilers,plumbers,electritians and decorators.I also manage the waste removal which can be skips or wait and load at strip out stage of projects.I also check finishes on a day to day basis to keep snagging as minemal as possible .I also compile the snagging lists for each room and check to ensure each trade completes as required.I will also agree setting out details for carpenters, dry liners,bricklayers,plumbers,A/C and tilers furniture installers etc.I also check staff staff sign in and out have correct PPE and are inducted with the rules of the site, issue hot works permits as required and meet with hotel management on a daily basis to try and keep disruption to a minimum.This is a brief description but there are many more things i deal with on a day to day basis.
