Responsible for the pricing, sizing, underwriting, due diligence and closing of all commercial property loans involving capital market transactions for 50 branch offices and their profitable sale to investment banks for securitization. Additional responsibilities included negotiating loan terms and documents, credit committee reports, establishing/managing relationships with investment banks, branch offices, brokers, borrowers, support staff and third party vendors.

Responsible for the acquisition of all investment properties located in the Midwest and West geographic regions of the United States for a publicly traded REIT (NYSE: AEC) and pension fund advisor (MIG Realty Advisors) specializing in multifamily properties.

Originated development opportunities including feasibility, financial analysis, due diligence and RFP’s. Asset/Property Manager for eight properties totaling 440,000 SF including marketing/leasing to local, regional and national office and retail tenants, financing, dispositions and value creation. Managed $14 million earn-out transaction with national REIT involving the presale, redevelopment, lease-up and management of three mixed-use properties (Banana Republic & Gap anchored): 1998-2001 leased over of 50,000 SF of residential, office and retail space including Chico’s and Ann Taylor Lofts.

Structured and underwrote high-leverage participating, mini-perm and mezzanine loans for commercial and hotel development, alternative use and rehab projects; leveraged loans through placement of senior positions to third party financial institutions; structured equity-lease backs, negotiated loan documents; underwrote pricing/risk for CMBS acquisitions for the Capital Markets Group.
