Stanton Phillips is a Virginia and DC attorney who limits his practice to adoption law and assisted reproduction law. Over the past 30+ years he has successfully completed over 4,000 adoptions including adoptions from just about every state and more than 70 countries. Stan is rated "AV" by Martindale-Hubbell/ Lexis-Nexis, the highest rating given to attorneys for quality and ethics based upon reviews from other attorneys and from the judiciary.Stan received the Congressional Angel in Adoption Award in 2006. He then served as Chair of the Advisory Council for the Congressional Coalition on Adoption. In Virginia, he actedly participated in the 1995 and 2006 major rewrites of Virginia's adoption statutes. In D.C., he served as the first Chairperson to the D.C. Superior Court Adoption Rules Committee and twice appointed by two Mayors as the attorney member of the Committee for Placement of Children in Family Homes.
