Established Austin presence for international project management and claims consulting firm; responsible for business development resulting in contracts with several Texas Higher Education clients, and provided targeted consultancy services related to project control and effective management strategies.

What began in 1991 as Construction Manager for multiple institutional projects in cities across Texas from the Austin headquarters ended twenty years later with portfolio management responsibilities for the Gulf Coast Region of UT System, including UT Health - Houston and UTMB Galveston. Between those responsibilities, from 1997 - 2007, I led the Project Controls Group as Associate Director; we developed the Operational Control Plan including multiple approval gateways for all major projects, averaging over $700M in throughput per year. I led the group's efforts to establish standards of practice and develop a comprehensive management manual, and converted it into a web-based "eManual". During that time, I also served as liaison to the System Audit Office, managed and reported on our Construction Risk Mitigation Plan, monitored project performance system-wide and assisted in project support and turnaround when necessary.

Beginning as Clerk of the Works for the Children's Hospital of Austin at Brackenridge (a surety company assumption project), I served as the on-site lead for the A/E team during construction of the multi-phased Sematech project in Austin and as on-site Architectural representative for the Motorola MOS 11 project in southwest Austin, which was the largest semiconductor fabrication facility in the world when completed in 1989. I also led the A/E team for construction of major additions and renovations to the Austin Mueller Municipal Airport and served as Construction Manager or the UT Microelectronic Research and Engineering Building, which led to opportunities for employment by UT System.
