Stan Smith is a highly accomplished and respected trial attorney. A fourth-generation Kansas lawyer, Stan began practicing law with his father in 1982. From the beginning of his legal career, Stan’s practice has included energy law and insurance defense. In 1999, Stan joined Martin Pringle, where he has expanded his practice to include defense of medical malpractice cases. Since then, he has represented clients in litigation pertaining to oil and gas leases, lease operations, fractional shares, mineral royalties, surface rights, and environmental disputes. He also regularly advises and advocates for clients on a variety of regulatory matters before the KCC.
