The overall focus of Tenants First is to implement a plan in which Toronto Community Housing Corporation (TCHC) focuses on being a social housing landlord, where buildings are in a good state of repair, and tenants are connected to appropriate services and active participants in their communities.

The City of Toronto's Newcomer Office takes a leadership role in promoting the inclusion and local prosperity of newcomers in Toronto by facilitating the implementation of the Toronto Newcomer Strategy and the Toronto Refugee Resettlement Program. The Office provides management support to the Newcomer Leadership Table and works closely with Local Immigration Partnerships, City Divisions and external stakeholders.

•Responsible for formalizing divisional conversations around what it means to be leaders in excellence, and for confirming what already exists within the division to support the development of a Centre for Learning, Research, and Innovation.•Responsible for developing and implementing a stakeholder engagement and consultation strategy on the division's role in the areas of learning, research and innovation, to determine strengths and challenges facing the division.•Tasked with undertaking an environmental scan process to analyze the existing divisional mechanisms, partnerships, and discussions in place to support the areas of learning, research and innovation. •Responsible for developing a business case and implementation roadmap for the division in regards to the Provincial Centres for Learning, Research and Innovation initiative, should a call for proposals be made.

The Toronto Urban Fellows program provides talented new professionals with an intensive introduction to the governance, operations and administration of Canada’s largest city through a combination of full-time work experience and a series of seminars, tours and workshops. Urban Fellows make important contributions to the City of Toronto's policy and research agenda, provide fresh perspectives on complex issues, and undertake essential program development and evaluation activities. •Produced a comprehensive action plan, consisting of a set of core guiding principles and seven key action areas, to enhance Children's Services divisional capacity to support and welcome LGBTQ2S families and trans or gender independent children.•Designed, developed and implemented an in-depth environmental scan process as well as an extensive community and stakeholder engagement process to identify the challenges facing LGBTQ2S families and children in the child and family service system, existing supports and gaps in the system, as well as future opportunities and innotative strategies to porvide more inclusive support.•Worked as a team to develop a divisional access and equity professional learning strategy, to be rolled out to all Children's Services employees over the next couple of years, with educational sessions on supporting LGBTQ2S families and children, newcomer families, Indigenous families, and more.
