Certified Pharmacy Technician with experience in retail and hospital pharmacies. I am currently working as a Pharmacy Technician at Kindred Hospital, Publix Pharmacy, and interning in the Health Information department. I am responsible for compounding intravenous (IV), handling customer transactions and dispensing prescription. Also, responsible for checking and evaluating written prescriptions, as well as recording and verifying patient information while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with regulations. At my internship, I assist the Health Information Manager (HIM) in Keeping and organizing records of the facility’s services. I am responsible for building a comprehensive privacy program that defines, develops, maintains and implements policies and processes that enable effective privacy practices which minimize risk and ensure the confidentiality of Protected Health Information (PHI) across all media types. I am also responsible for contacting providers, nurses, laboratory, and other personnel for information needed to complete patient’s records. Recognized for ability to efficiently dispense, package and mix prescriptions with utmost accuracy. My goal is to open my own nursing home to create a work environment that treats patients in the most effective and financially responsible way possible.
