I joined Jornata as a SharePoint expert, initially focused on establishing a QA practice and introducing discipline focused on quality in our delivery of software and services. Jornata joined forces with BlueMetal (now an Insight Company). I joined the Program Management Office and broadened my attention to include all aspects of good program and project management, with a particular focus on expanding the use of Agile (Scrum) methodologies in an environment (contractual relationships with customers) where agile is not an obvious fit.

For Microsoft SharePoint, Axceler offers ControlPoint, the industry standard for SharePoint Administration and Governance Management, ControlPoint FileLoader, and ControlPoint Change Manager. Axceler is a Gold-level ISV partner of Microsoft, based in Woburn, MA with offices in Los Angeles, Seattle, and London, UK.As Director of Engineering for Axceler, Stan oversees Development, QA and Documentation, including the development of ControlPoint from an idea into the world's best SharePoint Administration tool, bar none. He provided technical and strategic direction for two waves of expansion of the company: first entering a new market segment (SharePoint management), and then acquiring echo Technologies to enter a new functional area (SharePoint content migrations, document transfers, and change management). He has focused on developing the engineering team into an exceptionally collaborative, committed and productive organization. As part of making it a highly effective team, he introduced agile methodologies into the discipline, recently gaining the Certified Scrum Product Owner certification. He established a particularly close relationship with Sales to support the largest and most complex customer engagements, and with support to improve Axceler's stellar reputation for support, and to improve development's understanding of the product's strengths and limitations.Following the initial release of ControlPoint, Axceler grew 600% in revenue in only 6 years.

Direct the entire development process for BlueChip Technologies, a developer of forms automation, document imaging and document management/archiving applications for the healthcare industry, including hospitals and physicians' practices. Set product definition using focus groups and work with sales, customers and business partners. Establish development strategy, including staffing (hiring and firing), staff development, assignments, and use of contract resources. Partner with other departments (sales, operations, and implementation) to grow the company's business and reputation.

Managed the engineering teams responsible for Flow (formerly KeyFlow), the company's Exchange-based workflow product, and KeyFile, the company's document management product. Integrated those with electronic forms and digital signatures to create Lexign Suite, supporting secure electronic business processes.

Starting from a simple concept, led the definition, design, implementation, and deployment of a hosted internet service (i.e. SAAS before that term was common) designed to screen electronic commerce transactions for potential fraud.

Provided technical leadership and acted as an evangelist for the development of a number of different applications, including TeamRoute and Approval Expeditor, both email-based workflow systems, TeamLinks for Macintosh, an integrated Office Client designed to work with Digital's MailWorks and ALL-IN-1 environments, and MailWorks for Unix, an X.400 and SMTP/MIME based mail system.
