The Church Studio is an iconic recording facility that supports, educates, and inspires music creators with the finest equipment, training opportunities, interpretive exhibits and public programs.

• Established GKFF’s initial Vibrant Inclusive Tulsa portfolio of creative community development programs, placemaking, and public spaces.• Negotiated the purchase of the archives of Bob Dylan and Woody Guthrie.• Led the design, development and construction of the Bob Dylan Center and the Woody Guthrie Center.• Founded the American Song Archives to oversee all collections of GKFF and manage the associated museums, the Bob Dylan Center and the Woody Guthrie Center. • Grew the GKFF annual arts and culture grants program to approximately $5 million to 50 local organizations. • Leveraged smart growth of the Tulsa Arts District through creative placemaking and the renovation of 350,000 square feet of historic warehouses allowing for the expansion of diverse local businesses, arts organizations and affordable workforce housing. • Led the renaming of the Arts District to remove a shameful namesake.• Invested $140 million in downtown properties working closely with the City, local property owners, businesses, the University of Tulsa, and arts groups. • Launched the Urban Land Institute Award-winning, Guthrie Green. • Conserved $60 million of philanthropic dollars by utilizing historic and new market tax credits, federal grants, and renewable energy investments. • Tripled the amount of usable ground floor commercial space in the Arts District by renovating historic buildings. • Increased the workforce housing from a handful of substandard units to 80 modern affordable units. • Established the Gathering Place public art committee and selected works by Mark Dion, Yvette Mattern and Jen Lewin.• Recruited dozens of artists to Tulsa through the Tulsa Artist Fellowship.• Grew local audiences for theatre, jazz, comedy and hip hop.• Established Tulsa as a must-stop destination for jazz, comedy and modern music artists by developing the Lowdown, a state-of-the-art listening room.• Increased awareness of local events and culture through the creation of Root Tulsa.
