In 2012 I raised venture capital financing to cofound Makers in London, Europe’s first coding boot camp. As CEO I was responsible for fundraising and validating the business model’s core assumptions using lean startup and customer development principles. Since its inception Makers has trained over 3,000 developers who are employed at the UK’s top tech companies including Google, Microsoft, Facebook, and Apple.In 2015 I assisted in raising a venture capital fund with Techstars and for the next four years worked as the Managing Director, making 40 seed-stage investments in technology startups. In my final years at Techstars, I focused heavily on blockchain and web 3 startups, investing in Arweave which hit a $2B+ market cap during the last bull run. In 2021 this fund was profitably returned to the limited partners.Recently moved to Austin and am looking for new opportunities.
