Swim With Purpose is dedicated to bringing swimming back to Frankfort, KY. Our goal is to raise $1 million to renovate and refurbish the Aquatics Center at Kentucky State University an HBCU. The Aquatics center has been closed for two years. During this time there has been no place for KSU students, faculty and staff use the Aquatic center for swim lessons, exercise or recreational activities. Additionally the YMCA and local swim teams were using the facility as well. Now there is no year around facility available in Frankfort. Programs will be created by the University and the Frankfort YMCA to break generational stigmas and create a safe and teachable environment for children, college students, faculty, staff and community members of all ages. The fund will also establish an endowment to fund the ongoing maintenance and programs while partnering with the community with programs and facilities.
