I'm a physics & math nerd exploring the beginning of a career in software engineering. In my most recent role as an associate software engineer, I developed and maintained RESTful web services that safeguarded user information for over 1 million clients.Some of my biggest accomplishments in that role involved using Java-based microservices with Maven, Spring Boot, and Docker to reduce project delivery times by several days, as well as achieving 90% test coverage across 15 different APIs using the JUnit framework. My proudest moment was receiving incredibly high praise from my department and our consumers after single-handedly rewriting and organizating my team's API documentation into a user-friendly, searchable format - resulting in a new department documentation standard. I'm interested in learning more about Spring MVC best practices, understanding SOLID principles, and using my skills to solve complex physics and math problems. Currently, I'm designing a computational API that uses fractional calculus techniques to provide derivative and integrals of mathematical expressions, and running a YouTube channel, 'Sine Theta Prime', where I provide walkthroughs of challenging physics problems.I love learning new things and connecting with people various industries.
