Hello, my name is Jake Steen. I am enrolled at Auburn University seeking a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. I plan to pair this with a minor in counseling and pursue a graduate degree in counseling. I have always had a passion for business, stretching back to as early as I can remember. In middle school, I started a sneaker reselling business that has followed me to today where I have learned skills like customer communication, marketing, and selling. Later in high school, I loved the stability of a day-to-day job working as an event setup specialist. Here I learned skills like teamwork, coordination, and leadership in the workplace. A passion has been stirred in me to want to do meaningful work in the future and I have been drawn to the field of counseling. I love serving in organizations and ministries and all sorts of different ways. I also love seeing people go from point A to point B. Counseling has had a significant impact on me and the people around me, so I plan to find myself working in that field in the future. I would love to connect with you and see this next generation benefit from the foundation we set for them.
