I started my own consultancy business with the purpose of helping organizations make it easy for their employees to succeed.Simply because I believe that most companies have a great human potential and because the greatest barriers to releasing that potential are internal. My main focus was consultancy on strategy, leadership, sales and HR. HR Manager for Denmarks leading DIY retail chain covering 42 branches and a head office (total apx. 1500 employees). Main priorities have been to centralize and automate HR processes, strengthen the recruitment and onboarding and to further develop leadership and organizational capabilities. This included among many other: - Centralized recruitment and onboarding process including implementation of IT systems- Building the SILVAN Academy as center for all e-learning, in-store training and seminars- Performance management setup to grow employee performance and capabilities- Developing the leadership pipeline and the leadership development programs- Optimizing branch organizations and staff planning principles- Employee engagement and 'pulse' surveys to strengthen engagement - Implementing HR IT system to optimize control of masterdata and contracts- Implementing internal Dashboard to strengthen communication to branches- Developing and supporting all other HR processes

BoConcept is Denmarks most global furniture chain. During my full employment with the company the transformation from wholesale to being a full-blown international retailer with more than 250 franchise based furniture stores in 50 countries was completed. In this position I was overall responsible for retail operations in the Danish market and director of the subsidiary owning the chains own corporate stores. Focus was on driving a turn-around process to minimize costs, strengthen sales and maintain market shares. The result was 2-digit growth rates. - Responsible for all retail including warehouse and support functions in the DK market. - Develop and implement national strategy/tactics and budget plans- Re-assess and optimize the national store footprint- Build and develop store teams to match customer expectations- Operational retail management and optimizing sales performance- Follow up on profit & loss and optimizing operational productivity- Strengthen marketing activities and events to boost brand awareness- Ensure concept compliance according to global chain strategy- Attract, retain and develop store managers and store staff

I was building and running the corporate academy named BoConcept University with the responsibility of training and educating more than 250 franchise stores in 50 countries to deliver the best service in the business. - Design, develop and implement the online store operations manual based on best practice- Design, develop and implement the corporate training programmes on sales, product and leadership- Design, develop and implement e-learning as part of the corporate training programmes- Conducting seminars and on-site training worldwide- Operational onsite support to stores and market organizations within retail and HR key areas- Recruitment support including Garuda test and feedback- Coaching of individual employees, leaders and teams- Conducting team building events and processes- Managing the global team of trainers / coaches- 100+ travel days yearly in Europe, USA and Asia

Operational retail support to franchise based furniture stores worldwide. As part of BoConcept's journey from wholesale to international retailer I was part of building the foundation for the retail- and franchise concept. Among others:- Defining the chains retail governance, decision and execution responsibility- Mapping the value-creating retail support processes- Identifying and documenting the chains 'best practice' for store operations

Operational responsibility of the JYSK retail stores in the North Zealand area. Taught me the discipline of leading from a distance as well as clear communication, motivation and timely retail follow up.

Stationed as second-in-command in UNPROFOR / DANBAT's supply platoon at Dvor, Croatia. With the responsibility of both older and more experienced soldiers than myself I learned, that leadership is more than just a title.

Conducted my military service with Jyske Trænregiment as second-in-command in a supply platoon. Completed the staff sergeant training and got my first experiences as a leader.
