National HSEQ Manager for UK operations, responsible for maintaining an effective operation through auditing, safe systems of work, and document control.Environment and Health is a global division of Ramboll, a leading engineering, design and consultancy company. E&H employs 250 environmental science professionals in 14 locations in the UK. From my previous position as National HSE Coordinator for Ramboll UK, I now manage H&S for the Environment and Health business unit.This includes the writing and implementation of processes and policy guidance, undertaking internal and external project and office audits, training internal H&S representatives at each regional location, and preparing project H&S plans. I represent the UK within the Global H&S Forum, reporting successful strategies and best practices and implementing lessons learned from international peers.

I have over ten years’ experience as an Environment Management professional and bring particular knowledge on waste strategy, auditing and Environment Management Systems. At Ramboll I have worked as a consultant on a wide variety of projects including contaminated land assessments, environmental due diligence and waste minimisation strategies. My legislative knowledge has made me a key contact both within the Ramboll Group and in client liaison. In 2011 I became the National HSE Coodinator, maintaining the company ISO 14001 accreditation and developing HSE policy and procedure. In 2013 I project managed a successful application for OHSAS 18001 accreditation. My role includes HSE auditing, risk assessment and investigation of both H&S and environmental incidents. I am a OHSAS 18001 Lead Auditor and Practitioner (PIEMA) Member of IEMA.I sit on the Ramboll Sustainability and H&S Panels, which drive improvements in sustainability and H&S performance across the company.

As a regulator with the Environment Agency I acted as an auditor of business’ holding Environmental Permits, as well as those producing hazardous waste. I also provided waste minimisation and pollution prevention advice and acted as the Liaison Officer to major stakeholders
