Financial Connections (January 2023 - Present)Building out ways to help customers connect to their banks, improving auth rates through routing. Boosting conversion at Checkout time by helping grow the Link network. Improving the auth flow product experience when linking new bank accounts.Internal Platform (April 2022 - December 2022)Building out a product platform to help facilitate ease of development and interoperability between higher-order products.Billing Engine (Feb 2021 - April 2022)Proposed, designed, and partly implemented an alternative subsystem for metered billing. This included ingestion of metered billing events and near real-time aggregation in order to help generate invoices at the end of a given billing period.Worked on monetization efforts by improving internal APIs, bundling disparate products together, introducing new tiers, and integrating all of that with our internal platforms.Revenue Products (Sep 2019 - Feb 2021)Contributed to company-wide initiatives which included defining internal service level commitments and incident classification guidelines for the organization which I was working for, as well as working on data locality efforts on a regulatory deadline.Helped implement and launch the Test Clocks feature which allows merchants to test how their subscriptions would undergo changes over time by allowing easy time-travel integration testing.Worked on the Revenue Recognition product offering prior to launch - added multi-currency support, which increased the pool of merchants that were able to onboard onto the product.

Azure IoTJoined a team working on exploring IoT use cases for smart building/home technology - this team grew from a handful of folks into a product offering on Azure (Azure Digital Twins). I was responsible for the initial design and implementation of the device telemetry processing event pipelines which included being able to process user-defined functions against incoming data. In addition, I worked on instrumentation of multiple micro-services for improving both the developer inhouse debugging experience of the platform, as well as exposing logs and metrics out to our customers through the Azure portal so that they could more easily understand how the service was processing their data.

Microsoft Cloud Infrastructure & OperationsWorked on software helping run Microsoft's datacenters including managing hardware inventory lifecycle from ordering and planning all the way down to decommissioning. Projects included modernizing a legacy on-premise application into running as a service on Azure and syncing/migrating data between the two, built out libraries for transparently handling failover for message queuing subsystems, and eased on-call responsibilities by better instrumenting the on-premise legacy system during the transitionary period.
